Meet Bella!
Bella is the absolute cutest, sweetest, quirkiest little Shih Tzu girl you will ever want to meet! This one year old girl is an absolute one of a kind who will follow you everywhere, steal your curlers, shirts and socks and wag her tail non-stop when she is eating! She has a gorgeous, non shedding coat and is full grown at about 10 pounds.
Bella was adopted at 8 weeks old by a family who recently moved and said they were not allowed to keep her. When we went to pick her up they lived in a 3000 square foot house, with marble floors and said the landlord wouldn't allow them to keep a dog. It is easy to be sympathetic when someone is down on their luck with limited options but that wasn't the case in this situation.
Since coming into her private foster home Bella has really blossomed! She has assumed the roll of boss when it comes to making sure no one bothers her foster Mommy when she is ever in the bathroom and likes try and get the other dogs to play the face biting game with her.
She does well on a leash as she pretty much likes everyone she meets. She would do well in a variety of home situations although a home with a yard would be best and she would be great with another playful dog or cat.
Her adoption fee includes:
1. Her spay
2. All current vaccinations including rabies
3. Deworming
4. Microchip
5. Harness and leash
6. Starter food

As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as:

Some notes to consider before applying for Bella
1.. Bailey is a 1 year old young dog. Please make sure that everyone is on board and ready for the responsibility of a young dog. She is housebroken but with all dogs consistent training is very important.
2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER.
3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
4. PLEASE do NOT send more than one email. It slows down the process.
5. We do not make appointments for people to just come "see" the dogs available. They are in private foster homes and we go through a pre-screening process before any appointments are made.
