Rosko is a dapple hunk of love love love! He comes to us after his mom was involved in an accident and she could no longer care for him. He's a bit confused at the moment, wondering what's going on, but we are caring for him and he's coming out of his shell day by day. He needs to shed a few pounds so his spine stays healthy and in working order- dachshunds should never be overweight to keep IVDD at bay. So far, Rosko has proven he loves to snuggle under your shirt or burrowed in a blanket. He also adores leash walks and toys. Lots & lots of squeaky toys for this kiddo!!! Does he sound like your kind of pup?
If you are interested in adopting Rosko, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to
our online adoption application. Rosko's adoption fee is $450. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Rosko will go to his new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you're in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we will expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
