Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Iroh is a syrian hamster who was rescued on 11/26/2021. His exact age is unknown but he has been determined to be an adult. Iroh is a very sweet and gentle little floofy hammy. He wakes up and comes out to explore and forage around 9pm and goes back to his burrow around 4 or 5am. As Iroh is a big floofy boy, he likes his space and is happiest in a larger enclosure with many things to explore.
Iroh is a cautious little man. He tends to startle rather easily and is not a fan of loud noises. He much prefers his enclosure to be in a quiet area of the house. Favorite foods are pretty much any veggie, strawberries and blueberries, as well as cheese and chicken for proteins. He's not shown any picky eating tendencies with the exception of cilantro. He threw that out of his enclosure. Hamsters at our rescue are fed Higgins Sunburst as their seed mix as well as Mazuri Rat and Mouse for their lab blocks in addition to daily veggies and weekly fruits and proteins.
He may be shy and timid at first, and may take some time to feel comfortable with his humans, but Iroh is a gentle hammy. He would be safe to have with children with supervision however, like all hamsters, Iroh does not enjoy the company of others of his species and is quite content to live alone.
