Meet Licorice

Licorice was rescued from an Illinois shelter and drove up to Minnesota then to Virginia. She is excellent on car rides and is a pro. She is young, most likely a year old judging from her teeth and personality. She is mostly potty trained and excellent with other dogs. She has also been in a house with cats and would do well in that home environment also. We’d love for her to be in a home with another dog. She is super playful and fun. Everything is the neatest adventure for her! She will be getting spayed on April 7 before she is adopted. She is full of energy but also loves naps. She loves snuggling and she’s super sweet. Toys are new to her and she is just learning how to play. She is being fostered with 4 special needs dogs, one that is a tender senior and she looks after him and snuggles with him. She is extremely well behaved and will come when called and if caught being mischievous will stop when told no. Since she is young she is still learning so patience will be needed. Please do not apply if you are not okay with her being on your furniture. She’s a lap dog that wants to be involved in everything. She is learning personal space. She is gaining weight as she was underweight at the shelter. She does great with baths. She’d do best with a fenced in yard because she loves to run and is fast.
