Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
The late, great David Bowie once sang `Sometimes we get second chances and sometimes we never make it past the first.` If our David (Meowie) could sing, he would tell you that he is definitely worth a second chance, and he`s ready for the spotlight!
ABOUT DAVID: - In foster - Senior, domestic shorthair (grey and white), male - Found as a stray on the cold streets of Hamilton and now thriving in foster care. - David is initially shy but has become affectionate and playful. - He enjoys toys like cat dancers, crinkle balls, ribbon wands, and laser pointers. - David is a food enthusiast! He loves checking out the kitchen and `singing` for meals. - In the mornings, David jumps up on the bed to signal breakfast time. - David is very affectionate. He loves being near people, enjoys long brushing sessions, and purrs (and drools) with contentment. - David is a creature of habit. He likes sunbathing in the morning, napping in the afternoon, and playing in the evening. - Loud sounds can still startle him. - David has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species. - David also lives with stage 2 kidney disease which is easily managed with a special diet. He does not require medication at this time. - David is neutered, house-trained, not declawed, microchipped, and has received core vaccinations.
DAVID’S IDEAL HOME: - Quiet, adult-only home with no other pets. - David does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended. - Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family.
