Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there folks! My name is Taylor and boy oh boy has this been a strange ride. These nice people at BREW came and got me out of a nasty old shelter and gave me a nice warm house to live in and a girl dog friend to play with and I’m just a happy little pooch. It’s been tough though don’t get me wrong. I was really skinny when I got here, and although I’m still a little on the skinny side, the doctor says I look SO much better. I actually get dinner every night here can you believe it! The doctor says I’m about 3 years old, but mom says I act like a 1 year old, although I don’t know what that means. I just know I love to run and play! I got to go play in the snow the other day and BOY was that fun! When I first got here I was really scared of the man, every time he would come home, I would go up to him, but foster mom says I looked like I thought he was going to hit me. I knew he wouldn’t, but I think I had bad experiences with men in the past. After a few days, I got over it, and now I know that he’s a really nice man (he sneaks me peanut butter, which I LOVE), but most times when I meet a new man for the first time, I’m still a little wary. I play really good with my foster sister, but it’s a good thing she’s really tolerant of me. I like to use my mouth a lot when I play, and sometimes I forget that my jaw is really strong. I remember more and more often now though, and it’s getting better. I don’t think I like boy dogs very much, I’ve only met a couple, but the one’s I have I didn’t like at all. Girl dogs are ok though! When I play with my foster mom or dad, they say I do really good until I get really excited, then I forget not to use my mouth. And I hardly every bark, unless my sister gets started, then of course I have to chime in. I sleep in my crate all night and during the day when no one’s home, and as long as there’s a treat involved, I’ll go right in no questions asked. I love my foster sisters bed that is on the floor in the living room too, it’s my favorite place to sleep in the evenings while the people are watching tv. I know not to do my business in the house, but when I’m in the crate for long times it’s really HARD! Oh an don’t leave that door open, If I want out and the door’s open I’m going. If I don’t feel like going outside, it’s no biggie, but when you gotta go, you gotta go! Speaking of treats, I am VERY possessive of any I get. Foster mom is teaching me to trust that I am actually going to get the treat and take it gently from her, but I really really want it, so I still grab for them. I also don’t like other dogs or people around when I get one, that makes me VERY cranky. I’ve met a couple kids, and I think I liked them ok, but I’d be afraid that a little one might not understand that I am still learning not to use my mouth and that I don’t like people around when I have a treat. I think older kids, maybe 12 or more years, would be ok, but only if they really understand about me. Well I think I’ve talked my you ear off long enough. Is there an empty dog bed at your house that I can come lay on for the rest of my life?
