My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny knows commands sit, stay, come, down, leave it and no. This boy is house trained and behaves when left alone in the home. He will nudge you or just wait until he is taken out to potty. Benny knows to stay in the yard or be mindful if you say to come to you. He is crate trained and was permitted on the furniture. He has not lived with other animals. Benny likes hikes, walks, playing outside and loves fluffy toys he can rip up. While here in our shelter, this boy has been friendly and playful and happy to meet staff. We are told he is protective of his person when home. For any questions about behavioral information call and speak to Melissa or Charlene at 828-733-2333.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The whole process is easy and takes a matter of in-office minutes. While we like for our animals to find homes, we require adopting families to meet in our shelter. That way you can meet your new family member and make sure he/she is the one for you. Then we do the paperwork which takes only a little time. We look forward to meeting you.

More about this shelter

We are a compassionate shelter. Our job is to help our animals get ready for their "forever homes". We do this by making their stay with us comfortable, and giving them a healthy, clean, and safe temporary home.
