My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sure, being a black & white beauty helps to standout in a crowd, but the inside Sophie is just as beautiful. I was born on 5-11-2013 and am all Italian Greyhound.

I would love to find my forever home with my personal bestie by my 9th birthday. I will shower you with kisses, snuggles, and personal attention. I get along famously with other dogs. Especially Italian Greyhounds, but so far, I have not met a canine I didn’t like. (My foster mom boards small dogs so I am well versed in being a hostess).

I am a follower not a leader. (Too much drama connected with being an alpha). Coming to my foster home has been like going to a fancy spa for this big girl. Since my check in day, I have lost 3½ lbs. while dining on fabulous home cooked meals like Kibble topped with turkey/chicken, sweet potato/carrot, and green bean stew. I have a personal special “slow feed” bowl, so I eat like a lady. Or not.

Tasty treats await me before retiring every evening. I’m a fetching 16 ½ lbs currently. The exercise program is top notch. Walks at the nearby park for the communing with nature part of the program are a favorite activity as are the frequent “Everybody check out the stray dog or cat or person in our space” social events. Relaxing on the couch or outdoor cushions is also a fav.

I have my own suite (wire crate) since I need my space with a fluffy donut bed to snuggle in during the day. My sister Summer is welcome to join me any time. I’m in the deluxe accommodations at night (under the covers on the human bed). Hopefully, I’ll have a glamour photo session soon to add to my portfolio. Meanwhile feast your eyes on my amateur pictures.
