My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Waylon. I’m 4 years old and around 110lbs. I’m a big boy but I have good manners and won’t jump on you or play rough, I’m very gentle. I bark at the neighbors, strangers, and other dogs that I don’t know and I look very scary but I warm up eventually, I do like most people. Other than that I’m the strong silent type. I’ve never had an accident in the house. I’m happy just hanging out with you. I love attention and my foster mom says I’m a love bug. She also says that I slobber…like a lot….everywhere. Mom says that I’m such a good boy that it’s worth it. I don’t know what she’s talking about, I like to share it with everyone. She says a slobber towel is a must. She also likes to tell everyone that I am special, exceptional, and smart. She says she has had quite a few fosters and I’m one of her favorites. I’m also very comfortable here and love my people so we need to find a family that is just as special and exceptional as mom says I am. I do have a problem with my feet. I get what’s called interdigital cysts between my toes on all of my feet. We saw the vet and she put me on antibiotics, anti-yeast pills, and a fungal ointment along with a special shampoo just for my feet. My feet cleared up with all that medication but I cannot stay on all that stuff, it’s not good for me. So the vet suggested a monthly Cytopoint shot and to wash my feet with the special shampoo every other day. Even doing all of that, I still get cysts that weep and bleed. This is something that any caregiver of mine should know as I will likely need special care for my feet for the rest of my life.
