Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY LISTING FOR ANOTHER RESCUER! DO NOT CONTACT ARRF. We do not know this pet personally. To meet Starburst, see the contact information below.
Meet Starburst, aka Mr. Playful. He is a neutered male black Border Collie who weighs 55.8 lbs. With a silky, shiny coat, this one-and-a-half-year-old boy is highly-spirited and loves playing with people, stuffed toys, and tennis balls. Starburst has also played well with some dogs he has met at the shelter. He keeps a close eye on his handler even when running around the yard off-leash.
Starburst knows the command to sit and works to keep his kennel clean, so we think he is housetrained. He walks nicely on a leash, and he takes his treats nicely. He is looking for a family that will give him plenty of exercise, teach him more manners and appropriate boundaries, and provide mental stimulation through kongs, food puzzles, search-and-find games, etc. He’s an energetic pup who would love some further training to help him channel his energy and be the best version of himself that he can be.
Starburst is available for adoption at the County Animal Shelter, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011. Meet him without an appointment on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 3:30 pm. Call (619) 767-2675 for an appointment for other days. Remember to have his ID number available for the staff: A1890836. You can also check out Starburst on the San Diego County website at sddac.com.
