What is your name? I am Sally!!

How old are you? 1-2 years old (a/o 4.01.22)

How much do you weigh? 55 pounds.

What do you look like? Black with a white line going down my face and white on the ends of my paws (I wear gloves because I’m a proper lady!)

What do you like to eat? I am not a picky eater! I eat kibble for my meals though and get treats for being a good girl. 🥓

What kind of personality do you have? Energetic but calm after walks and activities, sweet, loving, eager to please, enthusiastic, protective (but only when it’s necessary).
Describe your perfect day: I eat first thing, go outside to do my business and run around with Jack. Then I go on a long walk around the neighborhood and by the river. Then I relax and get affection and belly rubs from my foster parents. I then lounge around for a while and/or play until my next meal.

What is your favorite toy? Kongs filled with yummy peanut butter, for chewing and fetch! 🥜

Do you know any tricks? Sit and I am working on lay down with good success!

What scares you? I’m not a big fan of loud noises, but when I get scared I put my ears down and make myself small.

Have you been around children? Do you like them? I’ve seen them on the other sides of fences and when out on walks, but I haven’t interacted directly with them yet. I show a little interest but then get distracted.

Do you like cats? I find cats interesting. My foster parents have a cat and I just met her. We touched noses and then I went back to what I was doing. I am more interested when she is sitting on the other side of the window.

How do you feel about other dogs? I seem to get along well with other dogs. I was found with my brother (I assume he is my brother) and we love spending time with each other. We do not necessarily know the meaning of “personal space” when it comes to each other. I was introduced to my foster parents’ dogs and we get along fine. I am pretty calm around them. Since I am VERY treat motivated, I am easily distracted away from other animals or anything else happening.

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Laying on a lounge chair in the backyard with Jack. ☀️

How is your health? Pretty good! I had a staph infection when my foster parents found me, but that cleared up well, and I haven’t had any problems with it since.

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? Jack- a white pit bull (he’s my favorite), a 60-pound hound, a 12-pound dachshund mix, and a cat. 🐶🐱

Where do you hang out when you are home alone? In my crate in the same room as Jack.

Where do you sleep? In my crate in the same room as Jack.

Do you like walking on a leash? Yes! 🐕‍🦺

Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For example, do you bark, or dig in the yard? When my foster parent initially leaves the room, I may cry but only for a few minutes.
I am also learning not to jump up on people. I just get so excited to meet new people! The backyard of this house has a lot of gophers, and I’m learning not to try and dig after them.

Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside?) I go potty outside 🙂

Do you like water? I like to drink it. Baths are okay, but I don’t LOVE them.

What do you love about your foster family? I love getting belly rubs from them and giving them big kisses. I like being near them and playing fetch. I like it when my foster dad is in the office or the backyard, because then I can just chill. 😎

What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue?
I don’t remember much about my life before. The last thing I remember, Jack and I were running through the streets of Rio Linda looking for any food we could find. My foster dad found us, and Jack ran up to him. I was scared at first and ran, Jack followed me but our Foster dad chased after us in his car. I decided to stop running and walked back toward the car, when my foster dad opened the door jack and I jumped right in. We were skinny like skeletons, our ribs poking out, and our legs would wobble with every step we took. Our foster mom found out about NBBR, and here we are now!
