Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Need a supervisor to make sure you stay focused while working from home? Meet Bella, a 6lb terrier mix who's ready to assist you! As you can see from the other pics, she does like to take breaks and enjoys a good snuggle with her people.
She loves to accompany people on car rides and will even sit in a bag while you walk. We recently had Bella assessed by a Certified Animal Behaviorist and this was her assessment:
From the assessment and speaking with the foster, I do feel she is very adoptable with certain parameters.
She is very sensitive to touch if she is uncomfortable or with unknown individuals. This seems to be her biggest trigger to nipping. With that said, she was easily counter conditioned with the use of treats and allowed petting. I would not introduce her to someone without having a high-value treat present. I would advise potential adopters to let her seek out attention and to only pet her if she approaches them. There is a great resource about Consent to Pet: https://eileenanddogs.com/blog/2012/08/29/does-your-dog-really-want-to-be-petted/ that I would use as a model for a new family.
I think she could live with tolerant cats and potentially small dogs. Based on the conversation with her foster, I think big dogs are likely to cause reactivity.
Ideally, her new people will have an understanding that they will likely need to allow Bella 2-3 weeks to really settle in before they could expect her to seek out their attention and affection. I think she will thrive in a home with a smaller household of 1-3 people, not a lot of foot traffic, small pets or no pets, and someone who appreciates a dog with a bit of sass and opinions. If she is placed in a home with children, I would recommend 12+.
