Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1. PLEASE NOTE: Breed mix info is the best guess of Bark Bark Wag and our vets. There is no way to know for certain what any dog's breed mix is without a DNA test; and most mixed-breed dogs may have 3, 4, 5 different breeds in their mix!
2. MUST READ --THE FIRST STEP: Go to www.barkbarkwag.org and click on "Let's Get Started!" to learn about our easy 3-step adoption process & apply to adopt! ANSWERS TO MOST QUESTIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE! We are all volunteers with limited time to respond to emails; if your question involves something NOT addressed at "Let's Get Started!", we will respond ASAP!

This handsome guy with the dreamy eyes is Dimitri! He's a mix of Lab & Border Collie, with a bit of bully breed in there too, best guess. He's 2 years old and apx. 57#. Dimitri is really sweet once he knows he's safe, but very shy meeting new people. He appreciates a chance to observe new situations, and approach as he's comfortable. Dimitri is house- and crate-trained, and respectful in the home. He likes to play indoors or in the fenced yard with his foster dog sibling; and living with a dog buddy in his furever home would be great for Dimitri's confidence.
Dimitri is definitely a ladies' man, and tries to be suuuuper helpful around the house; watching you do laundry, turning down (un-making) the bed, making sure you prepare a timely dinner (his first!), etc. He's chews his Nylabone or antler like a champ in his chosen spot. Even though he's watchful and keeps an eye/ear out for any unusual activity, he checks in with the humans frequently for love and scratches.
He loves to go for walks; and a physical fenced yard is a must, especially since he needs time to get acclimated to a new home. Last on Dimitri's *must have* list is a similar sized dog sibling to play with, who can help him keep learning how to "dog". Dimitri thrives in a kind, structured environment, where he knows what to expect. His ideal home would be with a loving and patient adult family (or one with kids 10+ up), who can give this sweet boy love and space to help him shine.
PLEASE NOTE: Several meet & greets will be required in the Canton/Westland area so Dimitri feels safe.
