Remy! DOB: 9/2020 Weight: 40lbs
Over a year later and Remi is still on the market! She’s a small and very muscular looking pittie mix. She is completely house trained and does decent in the crate so long as she’s not in there too crazy long. She does fantastic with cats and has lived in a home fine with a small dog. Needs to meet any potential larger dogs in the home. Kids 14+ or ones that can respect her space are needed in the home. She previously lived with kids and was surrendered after the one (10yr) wouldn’t stay out of her face while she was sleeping and she nipped at him. She tried to tell him she didn’t like it but he didn’t listen to the cues. In a good home setting, Remi is a very friendly girl and loves to be with her people. No food or toy aggression issues. She likes to sleep in bed with her humans and is crazy about her chew toys. Toys are her life but, but she needs indestructible ones as she can chew through just about any toy. Remi likes having a doggie companion to play with, but should meet any potential ones. She knows how to sit and takes nicely, very food motivated. Always down for an adventure outside but she’ll let you know when she’s tired. Enjoys car rides and does fairly well for baths. Her flaws include some anxiety that leads her to get worked up at certain things. She will try to bolt out of any door that is open and needs to learn to wait. When out on walks she does wonderful until she sees other dogs then she barks and carries on, throws herself around. Needs to be corrected before it starts, something to work at.
Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to shelter 3/2022.
