My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A hunka burnin' love? This one right here is a furry fluff of 14 year old energy. At his foster home, he's a happy happy boy, playing with the other dogs, and even hanging out with his two-legged brother - so we know he's fine with kids. T. is having a ear infection treated and getting a badly needed dental before he's ready to be adopted out, but we know he's a definite keeper. His soft silky hair is perfect for running your fingers through and there's no denying he's a total looker.
Stay tuned for more info (and photos!) about T. as we get to know him better.

If you're interested in adopting Thomason, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. Thomason's adoption fee is $300. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Thomason will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you’re in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we’ll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
