My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Introducing Indy, a courageous and resilient Chihuahua mix who has triumphed over adversity and is now ready to find his forever home! At Our Underdog Rescue Squad, we believe in giving every pup a chance at a loving family, and Indy is a shining example of our mission.

Indy may be small in size, but his heart is as mighty as they come. This little guy has endured some tough times in his past, but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite his previous trauma, Indy has bounced back with an unwavering resilience and an incredible zest for life. He is a true testament to the indomitable spirit of rescue dogs.

Don't be deceived by his difficult past, because Indy is truly perfect in every way. With his charming personality and adorable looks, he is guaranteed to steal your heart. Indy is a social butterfly, always eager to make new friend. Whether it's humans or fellow furry friends, he approaches every interaction with a wagging tail and a gentle demeanor.

Indy's journey to recovery has been nothing short of remarkable. Under the care of his dedicated foster, he has received all the love, support, and medical attention he needed to heal both physically and emotionally. As a result, Indy has blossomed into a dog full of joy and happiness, ready to share his exuberance with a forever family.

This little Chihuahua mix is a true champion when it comes to learning new things. Indy is exceptionally intelligent and has a natural curiosity. He is eager to please and thrives on positive reinforcement, making him an ideal candidate for obedience training or even fun tricks!

Indy's ideal home would be one that can provide him with a stable and loving environment. A family who understands his past and is committed to continuing his journey of healing would be perfect for him. Indy would do well in a home with older children and adults who can give him the patience and understanding he deserves.

If you're searching for a loving and loyal companion, look no further than Indy. He is a survivor, a fighter, and a testament to the incredible resilience of rescue dogs. By adopting Indy, not only will you gain a new best friend, but you will also be opening your heart to a truly special soul who has conquered unimaginable obstacles.

Indy is ready to embark on the next chapter of his life, and we couldn't be more proud of his progress. Are you ready to give him the home he deserves. Witness firsthand the transformation that love and care can bring to a precious pup. Together, let's write the happies ending to Indy's story.

Indy does become terrified of loud noises and therefore his forever family will need to make extra sure he is secure and comforted during those times. Examples of noises that stress him out are the sound of a drone, construction machinery, fireworks, etc.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy.
Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip.
An in person home check is required.
