Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome young boy is CAPTAIN. He is almost 2 years old and ready for his forever home.
He walks very nicely on leash. He is house trained and crate trained.
He loves kids and plays well with other dogs. We will require that Captain have slow introductions to new environments especially if the approved adopters have another dog. He gets insecure when there is change but he adapts easily if given time and space. Captain was surrendered to our rescue organization by his previous family because they didn't have time for him. His previous family spoke only Spanish so part of Captain adapting to us was the language barrier but now he responds beautifully to English.
He is an active boy. As you can see from the video and because of his breed, he needs daily exercise and engagement. The other dog in the video is his foster mom's female pointer and Captain gets along with her really well. He is a very smart boy. We had him evaluated by the dog trainer we love and trust and she said he is magnificent and with slow introductions to his new and permanent environment, Captain will be a fabulous companion. Captain is currently fostered with us in Georgia but will happily make his way out of state to an approved adopted via our vehicle transport. Transport fee is already included in the adoption fee if traveling to the northeast.
