Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In San Jose, CA
Hello everyone, meet Bentley💙🐾!
He is truly one of the sweetest, most loving little Aussies you will ever meet! Here are some fun facts about him:
*He is 7 yrs old, 40lbs, neutered, utd on shots & flea/tick meds
*He is potty trained & is able to “hold it” for long periods of time
*He is cat friendly & really loves being around them
*He loves all dogs but does particularly well with dogs that are bigger than him (he tries to dominate little dogs, so they aren’t a good fit for him)
*He is a “Velcro dog” who loves being around his people & loves cuddling in your lap
*He is great in the car, loves the beach, loves going on walks, loves the dog park, loves hiking trails & creeks
*He is highly food motivated, very smart, has learned commands quickly (sit, down, stay, wait, leave it)
*He needs training on recall & certain triggers ie, sometimes cars, lawn mowers, the vacuum. He can sometimes pull on his leash when triggered, but generally is very good on the leash. He has made a lot of progress with these via positive reinforcement & treats.
*He has resource guarding with his food & sometimes toys.
*He is very playful, loves playing catch with frisbees & balls, loves squeaky toys & playing in the yard.
*He is such a chill, loving pup that would be best as an only dog due to his resource guarding, though he does love playing with other dogs.
*He would also do best in a quieter, low-traffic environment, even a rural, ranch-like environment due to his dislike of cars.
He is very friendly & sweet when meeting new people too! He would love to meet you so please reach out if you feel you or someone you know would be a great Furever Home for him!
