Meet Valentino! Just like cupid Valentino, he will spear right through your heart! He is a 1-2-year-old, stunning 83- pound gorgeous black lab boy who found himself in a kill shelter on his last day. Luckily for him, animal control reached out to us about him and we immediately took him in to remove him out of harm's way. He went onto our Vet Clinic where he was neutered, received all his vaccines, and was heartworm tested negative! Yeah! Valentino is a beautiful boy that we feel was definitely abused. Sadly, many rather than use positive reinforcement to train think hitting them is the answer. Now that he knows he is safe he is standing versus scared down low to the ground in fear. He is doing much better since he decompressed in our environment. He has no aggression whatsoever and is an extremely loving and sweet big boy! He has no issues around other dogs. We do not know about kids or cats at this point. I cannot imagine him having issues with either, however, because he is fearful when going into new environments, I find he would do best in a home with adults and older kids and/or another dog. Valentino rides well in a vehicle, learning to walk on a leash, is fine in a crate-short-periods of time, and has done well with going outside for potty. Valentino would do well in a home that has patience with him and attention to dedicate. He would enjoy a stay-at-home family member since he is not big on being crated for long periods of time and prefers not to be in one.
