My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to foster PB here: https://www.greyfacerescue.org/foster

Phoebe is looking for the perfect cuddle bug to snuggle her, and baby her, for the rest of her senior years. She absolutely loves to give her humans kisses. Phoebe is slow and gentle, and that’s the life for her.  Phoebe is such a sweet loving girl. She just wants to be held and loved on.

Ideal Family: Phoebe would do best in a quieter/calm home to live out the rest of her life. Phoebe just wants love, to be snuggled, and to get some walks in.  The family who adopts her, should be prepared for lots of snuggling!

Likes: Snuggles, belly rubs, and treats

Age: 11 years old

Breed: Staffordshire X

Weight: 67 lbs

Kid-friendly: Yes! Phoebe currently lives with two teenagers and does great! Older considerate children recommended.

Dogs: Possibly, she does great with her sister Malena and one of her foster pup siblings, but has been having some issues with her other foster pup sibling.  Slow introductions are highly recommended.

Cats: Unknown – Would most likely be OK.

Crate trained: Yes! Previous owners stated she was crate trained, but Phoebe’s foster has not needed to crate Phoebe, just baby gates.

Potty Trained: Yes! 8+ hours.

Health Concerns: Phoebe has a history of cancer, but is currently cancer free!  However, given Phoebe’s history, it is recommended that any mass that pops up be evaluated by a veterinarian. Phoebe also has some skin allergies.

Our dogs receive heartworm and flea/tick prevention each month. Dogs that have stage 4 dental disease will receive a dental procedure in rescue. We aspirate all lumps and remove those that our veterinary partners suggest removing.  Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable).  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.
