Hi, I am Boomer and am a 13 mos old red tri mini. I have had a great start to life but my mom had to downsize to a condo and I MUST have a large yard to chase squirrels and play frisbee. I am insecure at first around new dogs and new people, however with the right companion will trust and relax. I have been raised with my litter mate and am alpha between the both of us. Ideally my companion animal is my size or larger ( 25 lbs) that does not interpret my being insecure at first as a sign of aggression.
I am a covid pup and need someone to be home most of the day or at least have a companion animal/person so I am not left all alone all day. I am super smart and with treats can learn anything. I need room to run and play and be a puppy, and ideally a dog sibling to play with. I like to chase rabbits, birds and cars, so I need a securely fenced yard so I am contained to run and expend my energy safely. Someone knowledgeable enough to continue my puppy training and someone that is knowledgeable in my breed, and teach me all the things that will make my life better.
I would rock agility training, so that may be a good fit for me. Lots of treats and play time! I will work for food all day and I'm very good at learning. I want you to get down on my level for chest rubs and ear scratches, and wont' come to you until I trust you. I need other dogs to play with either at home or close by. I love to play wrestle, chase and release lots of energy playing with other dogs ( once we've done introductions) A home with no children under the age of 6 years old. No apartment or condos. No cats in the home please as I'm not sure that I wouldn't want to chase them if the kitty challenged me. Things I am good at:
I have completed puppy obedience and was the star of the class. I love tugs, fetch, frisbee, and chase. I know how to sit, down, paw, watch me, and working on stay. I tend to pull on the leash with all the stimulation, however if you bring treats I will listen. Love car rides and the beach, running around large property. I will become your shadow if you feed me and take time to gain my trust.
I am not crate trained but do not chew up furniture when left home. I'm a good boy. I DO eat socks so those must be kept up.
