My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

John Wick is a handsome 5-year old male Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on March 22, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Pearl Street Extension in Marietta Ohio. John Wick was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

John Wick has a black-and-white long-haired coat in a tuxedo pattern, white socks on his paws, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with pale golden eyes, a white 'goatee', and extra-long white whiskers.

John Wick has a friendly, outgoing personality and is always at the front of his cage in anticipation of attention. John Wick is a good conversationalist and always has a lot to talk about. The Good Samaritan who brought him to the shelter said he appeared to be good with children.

John Wick was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 23, 2022. He weighs 7.6 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim trim physique.

John Wick was combo tested on March 23rd and is negative for feline leukemia and heartworm, but is positive for FIV [Feline Immunodeficiency Virus].

We are listing John Wick as a 'Special Needs Kitty' for that reason but we prefer to think of him as merely very special for so many other reasons. A vigilant pet owner who treats secondary infections can assist an FIV-infected cat to live a reasonably long life. The chances that an FIV-infected cat will pass the virus to other cats within a household are slim to none if no serious fighting or biting occurs. John Wick seems like a LOVER and not a fighter~

John Wick has been neutered. He has also been front-paw declawed, so he would be required to be an exclusive indoor-only kitty.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
