Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
01-27-2010 Charlie is a young yorkie mix, long & leggy, 7.13 lbs., about a year old. He has such a great face! What a charmer. He will need to visit the vet, be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, anything else Doc deems needed. His age will be verified by Doc.
Please check back for updates.

This fur-kid has come from a small rural town, surrendered to the POLICE. No other info is available at this time.
The City has a strict one week hold policy, then the animals are put down by a vet clinic.
Volunteer Karen pulled him to safety, will be assisted by foster mom Andrea in order to get his vet work done.
We will process applications, get the pet vaccinated with age appropriate vaccs, wormed weekly, , exercise caution to avoid Parvo. We want an adopter with the time & patience to allow us to make sure this pet leaves happy & healthy.
We have placed this fur-kid in foster care with Karen. Foster mom Andrea will be assisting her.
The foster updates on his/her likes & dislikes will help you know if this fur-kid is suitable for your home.
The foster has a very important job, evaluating, loving, letting go to make room for another fur-kid at risk.
You must be willing to commit totally to this pet. We want adopters with the time & patience to train him/her, then be there for him/her when he/she grows old & incontinent.
No fence! No problem! We prefer dedicated leash walkers.
Out of state adopter? No problem! You must come take delivery of your pup. The foster mom will place him/her in your arms, see the glow of joy on your face.
01-28 We have this opinion from a yorkie lover we sent pics to for breed ID help:
"I do see Yorkie mostly from the coloring. Most Yorkies have a brown color and a black/gray color to their coats.... Anyway, if I had to hazard a guess I would say that there was some Yorkie in him simply from the coloring of his coat."
01-31 Charlie is now in foster care with Andrea.
Charlie has his appointment with Doc for tomorrow, snip, clip, vacc., anything else Doc deems needed.
Charlie will need a dedicated leash walker or a fenced yard. He is faster than a speeding bullet as he bolts out an open door. He loves to hop in a car, go for a ride.
02-02 Charlie has been neutered, Rabies, on preventatives. He is having a bit of complication from the surgery, wasn't happy being stitched up, ripped the stitches out. Foster mom is keeping a close eye on him, may need to return him to Doc, glue him shut! He's active, doesn't know he is supposed to take it easy for a few days.

The adoption fee ranges from $125 to $325.
The fee is based upon veterinary care, age & size of dog.
The higher adoption fee on the younger small dogs helps care for the older dogs that take longer to find fur-ever homes.
Senior citizens and disabled receive a discount.
We also offer a discount to those in uniform keeping us safe.
Land of the free because of the brave.
Our adoption process begins with the e-mail or phone call to us. Please be prepared to furnish your complete name, address, telephone number, your veterinarian contact information & at least two personal references. We will then call you to ask a series of questions.
