Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Approx DOB: January 2017
Handsome Sam (ID#21256) was found in an outdoor colony of dozens of cats. His finder noticed that he was a very sweet soul, and he was incredibly lucky to land with a foster family who he has wrapped around his little paw. While little is known about his life before foster care, his family noticed that he craves attention and human contact. Anyone close to Handsome Sam is taken with his incredibly loud purr and his insistent headbutting when he wants your attention MEOW! Sam still has some trouble when a person approaches him too fast or "looms" over him - he will cower and run away. Perhaps he was bullied in his past life by someone. But he is slowly getting past this issue, and would probably benefit from being in a home with no hyperactive children. While he is learning how to "cat" and play with some toys, he doesn't seem too driven by play. This boy is a lover and a cuddler and is ready to settle down with a loving family of any size (as long as he is the center of attention!).
All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are:
Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125
Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100
Seniors (8+ years) = $80
Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations.
If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.
Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and look under Foster a Furry Friend. Furry Friends Network provides our foster homes with food, litter, crates/carriers as needed and miscellaneous other supplies as well as veterinary care.
