My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Max and I'm looking for a good home. You see, I've had a bad home with an owner that enjoyed beating me if I made any mistakes. In spite of being abused by a human, I have learned that there are good people, I just didn't get one the first time. I was rescued by a very kind-hearted animal lover. I was in pretty bad shape by then. I had a bad case of heartworms and if I hadn't been rescued, I would have died. My Guardian Angel, the kind lady that rescued me, paid for my heartworm treatment. I have been all through that and it isn't any fun, but now I am back on my feet, thanks to my rescuer and the kind people at Bypass Veterinary. I am current on my shots, neutered and heartworm free. My rescuer has taught me to walk nicely on a leash, to Give Paw and to Sit. I am a little shy with strangers because of my former abuse, but I respond to kindness and love affection. I didn't have much before, so really appreciate the attention that I'm shown now. Would you like a best friend? Adopt me and I would be yours. Application and home visit required.
