My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years old approximately
Weight: 50 pounds

As we are a 100%-volunteer organization, Max currently lives in a foster home. This is what the foster family has to say: 

Max is a friendly and a bouncy guy (foster mom thinks his name should be Tigger!). He's a little bit of a hoarder and stores his toys and bones in his "Max-cave" (get it, like a man-cave?) Max is getting some obedience and manners training in his foster home and doing well - we don't think his previously family really worked with him at all. Max is smart and attentive and will go far with his training. We'll probably never be able to train him to like rain though! He doesn't like rain falling on him (who does?). Max will do well in a home with another dog to play with but he could also be an only dog as long as he gets lots of belly rubs and ear scratches all day! And he'd like someone to snuggle with and watch TV on the couch too.

A home visit will be required prior to adoption. We request that all adopters be within reasonable traveling distance to Burlington NC. All dogs will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption and will also be up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella).
