We do not adopt dogs into homes with invisible/underground fencing!
Hey everybody! My name is Major. My foster mom calls me Major-Minor, and a whole bunch of other stuff, making fun of my name. It’s ok though, I know that she loves me, no matter what she calls me. I’m a sweet boy of somewhere around 7 or 8 years old. I live in a house with quite a few other dogs, but we don't all really get along so much. I’m somewhat of an introvert when it comes to other dogs, so it takes me a while to come around, even to the lady dogs. I require SUPER SLOW INTROS, and I don't really like boy dogs at all.
I LOVE to chew on toys and “kill” them, so foster mom says that super durable toys are a must have for me. She gives me lots of Benebones (my FAVORITE) and Kong toys, but even those don’t always last. I’m a master at playing tug, and sometimes will even let the humans win the game. I also love going on long walks, playing fetch, though I don’t always play fair (if I’m being honest), and playing with my “indestructiball.”
Foster mom says that I have to list all the things that I know how to do, so here it is. I’m crate trained and fully house trained. I know sit, down, stay (but that’s a hard one), roll over, shake, touch, speak, and probably some other things that I just can’t think of right now. My leash manners are……suitable…….but I’m a short, strong little dude and sometimes I forget that my humans don’t have as much fun being pulled around. If I could convince them to put wheels on their feet, I'm sure they'd love having me pull them! No? Once I remember that they aren't on wheels, I can be a pretty good walking buddy.
Anyway, that’s enough about me for now. If you want to know anything else, my foster mom can fill you in on all the deets. She’s always telling me what a cool guy I am, so you’re sure to love me, I just know it!!!! OH!! And, there is a song about me!!! (Foster dad will have to tell you about that one though.)
* Our only obligation is to the dogs in our program and we reserve the right to determine whether a particular dog and the adopter are the right fit.Remember, just because a dog "looks" like the one you want, that does not necessarily mean that the dog will "behave" like the one you want!
