From Rafael: "Excuse me? I beg your pardon, but, might you consider… that is, I was hoping you might… well, you see… my brothers and sisters are all getting adopted. They’re so brave and beautiful and fun and strong! So much to love… but, well, my name is Rafael and I’m still here. Alone. Not adopted. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with me! Actually, my foster mom says I’m a VERY good boy! I’m just not flashy. I don’t stand out. I’m not the first pup anyone notices… So the others went first. I’m pretty normal, for a pup. I like cuddling up on someone’s lap with a warm blanket, watching the snow fall, contemplating the mysteries of the universe. I’m not adventurous like Amelia or fierce like Beastie or classy like Rugby. I’m just me. Quiet. Simple. Kind. Loyal. I might not be an amazing adventurer like my sister but I know how to love someone. Actually, I *really* want someone of my own to love. Maybe, just maybe, there’s a human out there looking to adopt a little dog like me. I’m not an adventurer or a boss or an alpha, but I *am* an AMAZING best friend. Maybe I could be YOUR best friend?”
