My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus' story is a heartbreaking one. His previous owners went away and left Zeus with a sitter. When they returned, they saw to their horror that Zeus had deep bite wounds, and later learned that the sitter's dogs had attacked baby Zeus. The sitter didn't even have the human decency to contact the owners, and basically left Zeus for dead.

Sadly, Zeus' owners couldn't afford to save him, so they brought him to the vet to be euthanized. The vet contacted us and that's when we stepped in to help.

Given his injuries. the chances of saving Zeus were slim, but we were willing to try and give this poor pup a fighting chance. After months of surgery and a grueling recovery, Zeus is finally back on his four feet and is ready to find his happily ever after! He does have occasional seizures, which are being controlled with daily anti-seizure medication.

Zeus is a strong, playful pup who loves to chase his ball for hours! He loves people and can't wait to meet his family. His best match would be an active person/family who has experience with puppy energy.
