Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Poor Bogart's life is a complete mystery. He was found outdoors with urine stains/burns which left his entire lower half of his body raw. He will require a patient and gentle owner who is willing to work with him to bring out his true colors. With time Bogart could possibly adjust to a home setting. OR MHS would consider placement for Bogart in a safe warehouse/barn situation with proper acclimation. He would make an excellent mouser.
Due to his life on the streets, Bogart tested FIV POSITIVE. FIV+ does NOT require daily medications nor impact his quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission.
Bogart is estimated to be around 2 years old, UTD on vaccinations, neutered and FIV POSITIVE and FELV NEGATIVE.
If you are interested in Bogart and want to give him a chance, please fill out a feline adoption application on our website, https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28
