Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ally is a young, medium size dog who is looking for a special family/person. She is around a year to 18 mths, weighs about 35 pounds and is full grown at this point. She's a mixed breed coming to us from New Mexico. She's been through something, but we'll never know what. She's finally come out of her shell with her foster family. and they think she's ready for the next step. She's looking for a family that will understand that new things scare her. And that's ok. A family that will give her any amount of time she needs to feel comfortable and trust. Space she can call her own. A person(s) that will not have a timeline for her, that will understand that she WILL trust you, but it needs to be when she's ready. She gets along with other dogs just fine, but may be shy of them at first. She uses a doggy door. She loves her toys, and plays by herself with them. She loves her bully bones too. When she's happy (and that is often now) she does the cutest little dance, which is pretty funny to watch. She's an extremely loving, gentle and kind soul who will love you deeply, once she trusts you. And when she does, she will be your companion, your sidekick, your buddy. She will shower you with love, kisses and sometimes her paw. She's been learning about the harness and leash, and walks well on them in the house. The outside world is still kinda scary for her. She's a homebody for sure, and would love nothing more than to hang out while you work, watch tv, read, cook, whatever. Her foster family has seen her blossom in their home: from being a terrified dog, to asking for and receiving love and attention. If you feel like you are the right person/family for this special dog, let us know! Please take note: When meeting Ally, there is a good chance she will be afraid. Strangers are still scary to her.
Ally still needs to be spayed, so her new family must be ok to transport her when its time for her surgery.
