Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, I'm Tulip! I think Tulip is a great name for me for a couple of reasons. First, if you glance at my photographs you'll notice that I am certainly Pretty as a Flower. Tulip flowers are very pretty and so am I!
Also, when the volunteers here at Desert Haven call my name, I've noticed they are always smiling. They know when I come running they are in for some snuggles and affections and they get really happy to see me. Go ahead, try it. Try saying the name Tulip with a frowny face. Bet you can't! It's a sweet name for a very sweet girl, ME!
I am a playful girl and so I enjoy toys and playtime. I can busy myself with some fun toys all on my own and we can romp around in the yard for some fun times together. I have roomed with other dogs and so I can join a family with a dog or I can join a family without dogs and we can lavish our love onto each other.
I prefer to keep a loose leash while we're walking together. A girl named Tulip shouldn't pull hard on the leash, I don't think. I'm curious and I like to sniff around and explore. I'm gentle with my mouth during play so we can have a little tug-of-war with toys and we'll both have fun. I let the volunteers here touch my paws and they say I seem quite gentle so I wonder if I could live with children? That might be nice!
As I mentioned earlier, I am all about the petting. I like belly rubs, ear scratches, and nestling in with you for all manner of snuggles. If I had a middle name it would probably be "Affectionate". Tulip Affectionate _____. Hmm what do you think my last name should be? Maybe you should come to meet me to see if your last name should be my last name! See you soon! Love, Tulip
