My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We were feeding a new colony of community cats that we had inherited, most of them living under a dilapidated building, when we saw these two little faces peeking out. Knowing that this was not a good place for little kittens to grow up, we caught them (it took some doing!), and brought them home. In the weeks that followed these two young boys, Piper and Hart, have gradually changed from scared little wild things into two sweet cuddly silly bugs. They are a joy to be around! They love to cuddle with us (Hart especially), and each other. Piper is still on the shy side, but in the moments when he musters up the courage to snuggle with one of us it makes our day. Forget Netflix and HBO - watching these two little boys play for hours on end is the best entertainment you could hope for.
We are neutered, tested Negative for fiv/fiv. Vaccinated and Micro chipped.
Birthday approx 6/21.
They are a bonded pair and need to go together.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

First, decide on the kind of dog or cat you want (large, small, active, older, puppy, kitten, long hair, short hair, etc.) and find a few pets that fit your criteria on our web site.

Then either contact the foster home directly or visit us at our weekly pet fairs.

Next a NARF representative will conduct an interview to make sure that the pet of your choice is a good match.

The donation for dogs ranges from $200 – $300, and $120 for cats. This donation covers the cost of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. In some cases, a training contract may be required for our dogs with an additional deposit.

More about this rescue

The Nike Animal Rescue Foundation (NARF) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization founded in 1985 in San Jose, California. NARF is dedicated to protecting dogs and cats. We strive to eliminate animal overpopulation through spay and neuter programs and public education. Our volunteers rescue and shelter cats and dogs in need. We provide medical care and locate quality, permanent homes for these animals. We are also a NO KILL shelter. The animals are fostered in our volunteer’s home; allowing us to give adopters a more complete background about their personality and how they get along with other animals, children, etc.
