My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Macarena but my foster parents call me Rena I am a Sato dog from Puerto Rico around 2 yo and about 35#. Sato is a term for street dog, which usually means a mix of numerous breeds. I am smart, playful, and grateful I was rescued off the streets. My early life was stressful raising a litter of puppies. I have been spayed since then. I did develop some fear of barking dogs and loud noises so walks outside are still tense but I am getting better every day. I won't have any accidents as long as I am able to get outside every 4 hours or so. Potty training has been rough on me because of the cold weather!

After about 2 weeks with my foster family, I started to come out of my shell and I love to play with all types of toys, get the zoomies, and even try to get my 2 foster siblings to play w/ me! I love people, and as long as they approach me calmly, I quickly warm up to them. Young children scare me a bit, but ones that are gentle with me are fine.

Ideally I would love a home where I am not alone much and my people are kind, patient and affectionate. A confident dog sibling, or one that is very chill would be perfect for me, but I would be good as an only dog too. In return I will be loyal, affectionate, and make you smile every day
