Keeper is a beautiful boy. He is a Golden Retriever / Spaniel mix. Keeper is fully vetted, 48 pounds, housebroken, 3-4 years old and very playful. He gets along with other dogs but he is an alpha male and will do best in a household as the only dog or with other dogs that are submissive. Keeper is strong-willed and needs an experienced dog owner that can be loving and firm. Keeper needs continued training with his new owner and they will need to be able to establish a pack order with themselves and all other family members at the top. Keeper is high energy and loves to play, walk and run. He will need a lot of exercise. This boy is not ready to be a couch potato, he likes to have a job to do. Due to his high energy, he requires a fully fenced yard. He does not need to be crated, but he loves his crate and you'll find him asleep in it even when the door is open. Keeper is very smart and knows the commands for sit, stay and place. He needs a home with adults and older children 14+ due to his high energy.
