My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kia is a black Labrador mix girl looking for a home.

Sweet Kia is 8 months old and was rescued off the streets in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Kia is healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed, 35 lbs and might grow just a few pounds more but not a lot.
Kia loves people and gets very excited and affectionate!
She hasn't been tested with young kids but she can be quite rambunctious, so a home without smaller kids would be best, and no cats.

Kia is a medium to higher energy girl who enjoys walks and playing fetch, and loves lots of cuddles.

Kia is now in a foster home in Vancouver. She doesn't chew on things, knows which are dog toys and only plays with those. She jumps up a bit, but stops when you turn away.
She had to learn that a TV isn´t something to be scared of and stairs were new for her too but she is starting to manage. Nonetheless a home that is not too urban, no high rise apartment buildings would be best for her.

Kia plays well with other dogs, but since she is so lovey and affectionate, she does get a bit jealous of other dogs who want her owners attention, so a home where she is the only dog would be ideal.
Kia does have some separation anxiety -and who can blame her, she was abandoned before she was rescued- so we are looking for a home where she won´t be left alone too much.

Like every new dog to Canada she'll want someone patient and loving to let her explore and understand her new world is safe.
