Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET FRANK REYNOLDS!
He may be small in stature, but this little guy has a BIG personality! He isn’t afraid to tell you what he wants, or what he doesn’t want. Frank loves playing fetch with his squeaky stuffy toys and is happy to keep you company in the office while you work. He’s a silly, playful pup with the people he knows and trusts, but can be wary of new people and places. He’ll ask for pets when he wants them (ear scratches are his favorite), but is not a fan of being touched when he’s not in the mood. Frank would like everyone to know that even though he’s perfectly purse-sized, he has no interest in being picked up or carried around, thank you very much. He’s looking for a family that will love him for the funny and independent pup that he is.
ENERGY LEVEL: Medium
- He’ll need daily playtime and mental enrichment.
DOGS: Limited experience
- We don’t know whether Frank has ever lived with another dog long term.
- He briefly lived with another dog in a short-term foster home and while they generally got along well, Frank showed some resource guarding behavior toward the other dog. He would bark and growl at the other dog over toys in particular.
- Slow introductions to other dogs are always recommended. Keep in mind that just because a dog has done well with some or most other dogs, doesn’t mean they will like all dogs (just like people!).
CATS: Limited experience
- We don’t know whether Frank has ever lived with cats long term.
- He briefly lived with cats in his short-term foster home and initially did well with them, but started showing some resource guarding behavior toward them once he got more comfortable in the environment.
- If you’ve got small animals at home, consider ahead of time how best to introduce them and manage their interactions.
KIDS: Needs a home without young children
- Frank doesn’t have any experience with children that we know of, but we recommend a home with adults or teenagers who can respect his boundaries.
- We recommend supervising interactions between kids and dogs to make sure everyone is behaving appropriately and staying safe.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Frank has shown some significant sensitivity to physical handling, like putting on a leash.
- He may freeze, growl, or snap at a person who touches him when he does not want to be touched.
- Frank will solicit and enjoy pets and even some cuddles from his trusted people, but it’s important that anyone handling him is able to read his body language and respect when he wants his space.
He isn’t a puppy, but it’s still important for him to learn what is expected of him in his new home.
- Be consistent from day 1 – it’s much easier and less confusing for the dog to loosen the boundaries later than to implement new rules.
HOUSE TRAINED: Unknown
- We don’t know whether Frank has previously been house trained.
- While in our care, he has sometimes marked surfaces indoors.
- Keep in mind that a dog who is house trained in one home may still have accidents in a new environment.
CRATE TRAINED: Unknown
- We don’t know whether he has ever been crate trained.
- If you’re interested in using a crate with Frank, be prepared to take it slow and make the crate a comfortable safe space for him.
