My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because we are an international rescue through Taiwan. The dogs are likely still in Taiwan and you will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport.

International airport for picking up dogs:
【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】
------------------------------------
As a little puppy, Nora had been running free on the streets by herself. A neighbor (of the rescuer) saw her and worried Nora would be run over by cars as it nearly happened a few times. Thus, this neighbor decided to tie Nora to a chain in front of their house. This neighbor never really knew what to do with dogs, so Nora lived a life of chain and cage for 5 years. A few months ago, the rescuer moved to this neighborhood and saw Nora's sad situation - her cage was crawling with ants and she was covered with bug bites. Some wounds were so bad that even maggots got in there. The rescuer tried to convince this neighbor to change Nora's sad living situation but to no avail. After a few days, the rescuer couldn't tolerate seeing poor Nora living like this, tried and convinced the neighbor to give Nora up after a couple of long conversations. Nora was finally free.

The rescuer noted the moment that the heavy chain was removed from Nora's neck, she seemed to know she had been saved. Nora calmly followed the rescuer and left the place she knew as "home" for 5 years. Nora did very well during her first car ride and did not get car sick. The rescuer immediately took her home and bathed her for the first time. They all thought Nora would be having a hard time with bathing (like many dogs) but she was such an obedient dog! She quietly allowed the rescuer and her friends to bath, dry, groom, and trim her nails - no struggles at all. Even her first trip to the vet's office was peaceful. The vet could not believe Nora was chained for 5 years as she showed no signs of being afraid of new people and the environment.

Nora's first time at the dog park was a great success. She started by observing how other dogs played, then, she started exploring the environment, sniffed quite a bit and started wagging her tail. In a few minutes, she blended in with the crowd and enjoyed her time playing with other dogs and owners. Nora had a lot of fun rolling around on the grass in the park. Nora probably had never experienced this much joy in her life. The rescuer was quite happy that Nora had this experience.

Unlike puppies, adult dogs like Nora usually have a hard time finding a forever home and we truly hope that a lucky star will shine on her! Nora has such a sweet spirit! She enjoys playing outdoors and is a calm soul inside the home. She gets along with people, dogs and cats. The rescuer has a 10-year old daughter who formed a great relationship.

Since Nora had zero care or training for 5 years of her life, we had to start with basic obedience training. Nora is a fast learner and a smart cookie. She only does her business outside, understands the commands - sit and stay. She walks well on leash and does not bark too much.

We want to help Nora find a loving forever home, so that she gets to enjoy life that she's missed for the first 5 years of her life. If you are interested in Nora, please connect with us! Nora is patiently waiting for her forever home.
