Meet Buddy, a gentle and loyal Border Collie mix. Buddy is 4 years old and enjoys being in the great outdoors. He is extremely calm and good with children and other animals—he would be the perfect farm dog! He enjoys exploring, long walks, and exercise but also appreciates afternoon naps out in the sun or shade, depending on the time of year. He also loves being groomed--you really could pet him all day long.

Buddy is a relatively large Border Collie; we suspect he might have a little Bernese Mountain dog in him. He has all the working traits of both those breeds and has a great athletic build. As such, he will need a large fenced yard (at least 6 feet) and a job to do. It can be as simple as being your companion while doing chores or hanging out and watching out for your other animals.

While Buddy is crate trained he is not completely house trained since he is primarily an outside dog who sleeps in his crate indoors at night. However, he is a fast learner especially with house rules, and could easily enjoy an indoor life with lots of human interaction.
