HISTORY:
Cynthia and Bugsy became best friends at animal control, and that facility had intended on adopting the two out as a bonded pair. However, somehow there was a mix-up at animal control, and Bugsy was adopted out with a different black cat. Though Bugsy is a super friendly guy, he is a bit shy at first, and his first instinct was to find a cozy hiding place in his new environment once he was taken home. He ended up finding a hole in the wall of his new adoptive home and was missing for 2 months! He was then returned to the animal control facility and reunited with his pal, Cynthia, who had become depressed and lonely since he left. She instantly cozied up to her bestie once again! Now that they are in our care, we are committed to making sure they are never separated again.

ABOUT:
Cynthia must be adopted with her best friend, Bugsy.

Cynthia is a sweet, lovable girl, but she takes a little time to warm up to new people. She does not like to be approached too quickly, but the more calm and quiet you are around her, the more willing she is to let you reach out and stroke her. And once you lay hands on her, you won’t be sorry! She has the softest, most plush coat ever! She appreciates very gentle petting, but particularly enjoys having the base of her tail scratched lightly. She’ll lift her butt in approval and let out a sweet, almost inaudible meow. Once you earn her trust, Cynthia may find herself laying at your feet, rolling over to show you her belly. The more time you spend with her, the more relaxed and content she becomes. She gets most of her confidence from being near Bugsy, so you will almost always find her snuggled up with him.

Luckily, Cynthia is a very low-maintenance cat so she doesn’t require a lot of your time or attention, but truly enjoys the occasional pet from her humans. If you aren’t home a lot, no big deal! Her and Bugsy aren’t ever too far apart, so they will never be lonely so long as they have each other. They don't ask for much - just some nice comfy cat beds (that will fit two cats) and a big sunny window! They would prefer a calm, laid back household that would match their personalities.
