6 year old, 70 lb. female
Lab Mix
Dogs: Carly plays well with dogs 45 lb. and up. She enjoys a good game of tag, or wrestling with her best dog friend no matter the weather.
Cats: No cats
Carly is incredibly sweet and affectionate with volunteers and visitors. She is eager to please and is outgoing with everyone she meets. She’ll greet you with a big smile on her face and is happy to give kisses, roll over for a belly rub, and inch closer and closer to you until she’s in your lap.
She likes to be outdoors with her best dog friend or playing fetch with the humans.
Carly is house-trained and crate trained.
Carly knows how to sit, stay, lay down, come, heel, and place. Carly was reactive, especially toward small animals. She has been taught to listen to her person and ignore the small animal instead. She listens to her commands on the first try 99% of the time. She is so smart and very eager to please!!
Her forever person will have follow up sessions with the trainer (paid by Lighthouse) so she can continue to be the best girl she can be. Everyone at the training facility loved Carly. She is a big baby who is eager to do the right thing! The trainer says that Carly will need a confident forever person but also someone who will give her a lot of positive reassurance when she is being a good girl! She thrives on positive attention.

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.
Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
