2 and a half year old, 50 lb. female
Redbone Coonhound Mix
Dogs: Liberty plays with other dogs nicely. She had a few dog friends at the shelter and is now being fostered with two other dogs.
Cats: No cats
Liberty is very affectionate, always wanting to give kisses and be close to people. She is outgoing with every person she meets. While she comes off as a high-energy girl, after a good play session she settles down and asks for love from our volunteers. She loves to be outdoors chasing a toy or playing keep away.
Liberty is working on basic obedience. So far she knows how to sit and is working on stay and heel. She is a great student and is learning quickly. Liberty wants to jump on counters and people but her wonderful foster family is working on teaching her manners. She’s also doing well with her house training.

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.
Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
