Lana is an energetic girl whose happiness is bursting at the seams. She would be a great hiking partner for an active family or individual. She could be a lot of fun for teenagers who want an energetic companion to play with. She enjoys chasing toys around our yard and has a silly personality. Also, for a recent arrival from the south, we have found that she loves the snow!
She was rescued from a hoarding situation with what we think is her mother, who is a low-key female similar in size to her and they played well in the yard together. There were at least 25 other dogs at the hoarding site she came from so is used to being around other dogs. Once her mom was adopted, we have introduced her to a playful, energetic male dog who she instantly liked. She plays with him as if she's known him forever.
She is eager for attention from our volunteers and is an enthusiastic pup. Lana will need obedience training to channel her energy as she gets very puppy mouthy when excited. For this reason, we don't recommend she live with small children at this time.
