My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pawlie is a happy boy. He weighs a chunky 60 lbs. He is house-trianed, crate-trained and easily uses a doggy door. Pawlie is a friendly fellow who has never met a stranger. He loves people and enjoys going for walks and riding in the car or golfcart. He is content just to be with you and expresses his appreciation with his friendly smile and wagging tail. He is a handsome boy in spite of his mild birth defect. When he was born in March of 2020 his front paw was malformed. Although he runs and plays, the paw is unique. It looks like it could be miserable, but Pawlie doesn't seem to mind.  His personality is much closer to perfect than his paw. Pawlie really likes other dogs and enjoys playing with his companions. He loves to sitinhis doggy pool or roll and play with his buddies. He has a wonderful attitude in spite of his mild limitations. Pawlie deserves someone who will look past his paw-flaw and love him for the fantastic companion he is.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
