My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing for LaP Dog Rescue. Please email lapdogrescue@ev1.net for more information on this dog. DO NOT contact Rottilove Rescue, Inc.

UPDATE: 12/01/06 Jammer is taking the same obedience class that his girlfriend Priss took earlier only Jammer is being "Home Schooled". He's doing great. He walks well on a leash, knows sit and "look at me". We will be working on come and stay during December.

UPDATE: 6/30/06 Due to the length of time Jammer has been in rescue, we have decided to allow him to be adopted to a home without Priss. We are hoping however, his new home will have a large female dog he can play with.

UPDATE: 6/9/06 Thank you Cindy Manning of All Aboard Kennels for keeping Jammer (and Priss) cool and comfortable while they recovered from their heartworm treatment. Jammer is ready to go to his forever home. He is a really pretty boy, approximately 3 yrs old and very smart. He loves the water and is eager to please. He enjoys all the same things as Priss. We are trying very hard to place these two together as they are so bonded to one another. A "two for one" will be considered to the right home. We prefer our dogs go to indoor homes where they can be with their families.

UPDATE: 4/12/06 Jammer will be undergoing heartworm treatement with his best friend, Priss. They will be available for adoption at the end of June.

UPDATE: 3/17/06 Thank you to Cindy Manning of All Aboard, a boarding facility. Jammer will have his very own, climate controlled, private suite to rest after his heartworm treatment. He will be available for adoption 4-6 weeks after treatment. I am still trying to keep Jammer and his girlfriend, Priss together as they are very bonded.

UPDATE: 2/7/06 Peggy Kendall of the Woodlands was kind enough to donate the money needed for Jammer's heartworm treatment. Now, all Jammer needs is a foster home so he has a quiet place to rest after treatment. My sponsor (neuter/vaccinations/testing) is the very generous Loretta Nassar of Sacramento, Califonia. Jammer has an impressive head and does a little dance on his hind feet with his front feet up in the air at dinner time. He knows how cute his is and tries to show anyone who is looking. Jammer has been fully vetted and is being treated with ivermec for his heartworms. I'd love to see Jammer and Priss go home together but understand if this is not possible. In the picture, Jammer is on the right.

Obedience classes will be required. Adoption application/contract/vet reference/home visit apply.

UPDATE 9/8/05 Priss and Jammer were aged at 3 and 2 by our vet. They have both been vetted and are hw pos. We are currently maintaining them on heartgard. They are both very sweet dogs but will need some time and patience to be taught some manners. They're very happy dogs and only want to please. We are trying to raise money for their heartworm treatment. They are ready to be adopted at this time.
