FOSTER UPDATE: Dawson REALLY is a great dog and family member! He's a fantastic companion, is super sweet at home, and great outside. Dawson is house-trained, kennel trained and good on a leash. He takes his treats gently and is currently working on refresher training for basic commands with his foster family. Dawson plays well with his foster family and is a self-starter to play alone. He loves blankets, shoes and socks. Dawson doesn't chase squirrels or rabbits and doesn’t bark much. He was recently weighed and is about 56 lbs. He would fit best with people who are active and like hiking or walks.

HISTORY: Dawson, a 2-year-old lab mix, was found as a stray in Eastern Washington when his buddy was hit by a car and killed. Dawson didn't leave his friend's side. A kind person saw Dawson and they brought him to our rescue.

This sweetheart is hoping to find someone who will welcome him into their home and shower him with love and affection. In return, he will provide you the same!

Dawson is looking for an active home where he will be made a part of the family. On top of walks, he'd like to go on trail walks, play with his family, and get a good dose of mental stimulation. He'd love to accompany his people on outings to dog-friendly places.
