Kipper is a sweet, scared little boy that came to us after being taken into custody via local law enforcement due to severe neglect from his previous “owner.” Precious Kipper has learned so much from us while in his time with us, and continues to grow every day. He is now able to walk on a leash although he is still learning leash manners with it (he had never seen one before), he knows the schedule of the rescue and thrives on it, he knows that we talk to him and greet him.
Kipper is still learning how to be confident and has quite a long way to go in that sense. He must have another dog in his home and a secure fence to help him learn what it is to live in a home environment- something he’s never had the chance at before. He LOVES being around other dogs and really opens up with them nearby!
Kipper is very fearful of new experiences and will try to run from them or shrink in fear- but with a buddy at his side (he has several at the rescue he follows and takes cues from). We are on the hunt for a family that can appreciate the timid warrior soul that he has and guide him to the strong, confident boy we know he will be.
