Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brie is a 4 year old deaf Australian Shepherd. Her vision is good although one pupil is not round. Her eyes are different colors too.
She has learned a lot in the 4 months I have had her. She went from hiding behind my chair to being like the other dogs in my home. She has learned how to protect the house from strangers walking on the sidewalk, barking at the mailperson, to learning to tell me when she needs to go potty outside.
She does gets along with the other dogs in the house. She is not good with strangers coming up to her. She will not bark at the person as long as they doen't try to pet her, if so she will bark and hide. Brie has learned the signs for sit & lay down. She will go in her crate but only when forced. She is fine when loose in the house, so does not need to be crated.
She does the infamous Australian Shepherd nipping so she may not be good around children. Brie needs an enclosed backyard since the cars and noises still scare her. She is good on the leash, up to date on vaccines, and spayed.
If you think that Brie is a good fit for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
