PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. THEADORE is in SALEM, Ohio. HE is fully vetted including: spay/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while at the shelter and complete dental. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.
FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $150
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy .. if you know anything about cocker spaniels (and I hope you do) then you know I am sooo excited to get your attention that my little tail nub is wiggling. My name is Theodore and I am a 9-year-old cocker spaniel. Don't let my age fool you... I am as playful as a 4-year-old! Now let me tell you all about me ....Like all cockers I absolutely love humans of all ages, including kids, as well as dogs, and heck even dog friendly cats! I even managed to win over a cranky dog that doesn't even like dogs I am just that darn loveable. I also am fine on car rides. I am a guy who loves a lot of attention from humans and other dogs. I do not like to be without another dog so I would need a home with another dog. I am good in a crate. I came from living in a kennel my whole life so I am not potty trained and therefore another housetrained dog will help but you will need to patiently work with me on potty training but more importantly on prevention and structure. Belly bands help in the meantime. Being a cocker, we are a high maintenance breed and require very regular grooming and my age I will need twice yearly vet appointments. The good news is I just had a dental, neuter, all my injections, heartworm testing and my bloodwork was excellent! Cockers can be prone to many issues so if you are not a former or present cocker owner, please be sure to research the breed. Truly I am the perfect pup other than I need to be potty trained!
