Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tallie is a 6 year old black female great dane / dalmatian mix with natural ears and very beautiful expressive brown eyes. She was adopted from MAGDRL as a young puppy and unfortunately has come back due to her owner's financial difficulties and divorce. She is a very sweet, affectionate, loving girl who enjoys long walks, car rides, and just being in the backyard. She gets along great with all people and other dogs of all sizes, but is very prey driven so no cats. Because she loves to play with other dogs so much, we would love to see her go to a home with another dog. Tallie is very well behaved and knows many basic commands (sit, stay, down, leave it, back, on your bed, high five, smile). She does smile on command by showing her teeth and grinning. Tallie is a counter surfer, so you will need to put treats away. She had TPLO surgery two years ago on her rear knee due to her ACL being torn, but it is not giving her any pain or difficulties. Her foster home says she runs like the wind and loves to play. Tallie is a jumper and needs a fence at least 4 ft tall. She was very much loved and well taken care of.
Update: 11/7/10 For a girl that always looks so serious in her photos, she loves to have fun. Her prey drive always gets the best of her, so she has decided that between her and the frogs in her backyard pond, the frogs just had to go. However, she LOVES to play with the 10 pound dog in her home, and she plays really nice with her. Tallie also loves to nest in your dirty clothing and will work to get them just so before laying in them.
Update 4/1/11 - Tallie is a very happy, lovable, playful 7 year old. She's great with all people big and small. She is also great with other dogs. Her best friend is a 10 pound Pomchi. Tallie would do best with a family who has another dog.
